The gorgeous colour plates in this album, were from an original book published by F. Sinnett of Paris in 1887. The volume was originally bound in purple-red cloth. A special edition of 1000 copies was reproduced in 1978.

What a great weekend it was at Kyabram. This rally has a wonderful 'family feel' to it and was enjoyed by patrons and exhibitors alike. There was a lot of interest in the cycle collection, with numbers up on last year. The pennyfarthing was up and running, well for one lap of the showgrounds anyway. The 'penny' was left in the sun,, leaning against the shed to entice people inside to view the cycles. This had a detrimental effect on the wheel rubber, which  stretched and the glue loosened, resulting in the whole rubber tyre peeling off the rim!
